The Client & Role:

We're currently working with a large for-purpose organisation based in the eastern suburbs, due some secondments in the team they are seeking a Workplace Relations Consultant to join the organisation on a short-term basis with an initial term of three months, with potential for the role to move to ongoing.

The role will be offered on a four-day working week with a hybrid work model of two days per week in-office and a rate of $600 per day inclusive.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a high level of familiarity with relevant legislation, and internal policy and procedures ensuring investigations, disciplinary matters and the application of employment legislation requirements are consistent, fair, and best practice.
• Enterprise agreement bargaining including the consolidation, development, and renewal of EBA's to drive consistency.
• Ensure knowledge of key industrial decisions are kept up to date.
• Advise on employee relations matters including, redundancies, disciplinary, investigations, ill health and discrimination, harassment, and bullying.
• Accurate and up to date records are maintained including contributing to the central case register.
• Develop strong, collaborative working relationships with the HR team and divisional/other business leaders to ensure the nationally consistent and successful delivery of services/solutions.
• Assist and provide advice to HR client base as required.

Required Skills & Specialisms:

• Demonstrated experience advising Workplace Relations initiatives.
• Large business (+5000) experience highly advantageous.
• Degree qualification in Human Resources or similar and/or equivalent experience.
• Ability to travel locally on an in-frequent basis may be required
• Successful candidate will be required to complete recent manager references and pass a criminal history check.
