A great opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Mailroom Officer role in a growing team. Avantix is looking to expand our team performing Mail Processing and Digitisation services for Government and Corporate entities. The role will be varied, challenging and integral in the day to day mail services our company offers. There is an opportunity to grow with the company as we expand our Mailroom team in an evolving industry.

About the opportunity

Multiple casual positions are available to join our Mailroom team Monday-Friday between 6am to 2pm and 9am to 5pm. Full Time opportunity exists for the right person.

As a Mailroom Officer at Avantix you will understand processing inbound and outbound mail according to the customers business rules. Working as part of a team with a shared goal to provide an efficient and accurate service according to delivery schedules.

The role will involve:

Receiving mail, sorting, opening and processing mail items

Operating scanning equipment

Digitally classifying documents

Recording and distributing mail

Reporting according to business rules

Preparing and creating connotes/manifests for parcels and envelopes.

Comply with company policies and health and safety procedures

Desired skills:

Previous mailroom experience

Strong organisational skills and ability to multi-task

Diligence and attention to detail

Intermediate computer skills with the ability to enter data efficiently into reports and registers.

Able to work under pressure in busy environment and to meet deadlines

A National Police Clearance is a requirement to work on this project. Avantix will facilitate the background Police checks for successful applicants.
