Protech are looking for an experienced industrial maintenance fitter to join our client site located in St Marys.

We are seeking a motivated & experienced individual to work with our client in their steel reinforcement processing facilities.

• Immediate start for the right candidate
• Monday to Friday & some weekends if required
• Attractive pay rate

About the role

• Ensure that all statutory maintenance, testing, and inspections are carried out to the relevant standards and properly recorded.
• Installation of machines and machine parts.
• Coordinate electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic trades for plant repairs and maintenance.
• Training of new employees on machine operations, safety & maintenance aspects
• Ensure all breakdowns to be treated as a matter of urgency.
• Ensure that all scheduled and required maintenance is carried out and in accordance with the safe operating procedures.
• Record daily activity for maintenance works performed.
• Ordering, tracking and general maintenance of machine spare parts.
• Maintaining minimum stock levels of key machine parts.
• Prioritise the maintenance and repairs of company equipment and parts to minimise production delays.

Experience Required

• 3 years previous experience in similar role
• Electrical, mechanical & hydraulic knowledge and understanding
• Car & Drivers Licence
• Trade Papers
• Experience working with Schnell or MEP machinery

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $58.00 per hour
