We're seeking a capable and polished Restaurant Manager to take the lead at a well-regarded, restaurant known for quality food, thoughtful service in an iconic Sydney Location. This is a hands-on role for someone with a calm, confident presence on the floor and a passion for creating a consistently excellent guest experience.
The Role
Working closely with the Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for the smooth daily operation of the restaurant. You'll lead a vibrant but professional front of house team, manage service across lunch and limited dinner trade, and ensure the venue runs efficiently and professionally.
Your day-to-day will involve everything from team leadership, service flow, and guest relations to rostering, compliance, and cost management. You'll also contribute to training programs, onboarding, and maintaining high service standards across every shift.
This role would suit someone who's confident managing a dining room with an elevated pace and style - someone who can lead by example, spot the details, and support a strong service culture. This role is for someone who is service first, not paperwork.
Responsibilities Include:
Leading the FOH team and managing service across lunch and select dinner services
Working closely with kitchen leadership to ensure seamless coordination
Maintaining a high level of service, consistency, and attention to detail
Staff development, onboarding, training, and rostering
Supporting the Group Manager with reporting, compliance, and operational systems
Upholding all food safety, RSA, and OH&S requirements
Handling guest feedback with professionalism and care
Maintaining a structured, well-presented and efficient service environment
- Run operating costs to budget & adjust to expected trade
What You Bring:
Proven experience in a similar role within a refined restaurant or hatted setting
Confident leadership with a hands-on approach to service
Solid understanding of restaurant operations, compliance, and financial awareness
Strong communication skills and a team-first mentality
Focused, composed, and highly organised
A genuine passion for hospitality and guest experience
