Altec Australia a subsidiary of Altec Inc, is a global leader in the design, manufacture, sales and service of truck-mounted insulated utility equipment, including elevated work platforms and pole borers.

Due to a healthy pipeline of work as well as future growth plans, we currently have an opportunity for a Service Technician to join our Service & Rebuild team based from Dandenong. This is an ongoing full time opportunity working Monday - Friday 7.30am - 4.00pm.

This position may involve (but not be limited to):

• The routine servicing and breakdown repairs of truck mounted EWP’s
• Major rebuilds and warranty repairs
• Conducting quality inspections
• Occasional offsite travel to assist with customer service & breakdown requirements
• Maintaining a high level of housekeeping of your work area
• Accurate and timely completion of relevant paperwork
• Assisting assembly teams with the fitting and assembling of wiring and components to trucks and vehicles as required

The successful candidates will have:

• Relevant trade qualification (will consider 2nd- 4th year apprentice) OR demonstrated experience in a relatable position
• Demonstrated experience in mechanical fitting, servicing and/or repairs
• Experience working with hand & power tools
• Strong commitment to Health and Safety
• Have the ability to follow company processes & procedures
• Ability to work within a team environment, while capable of working unsupervised
• Experience working with hydraulics & fault-finding would be highly regarded, however full product training will be provided
• Driver's license (HR License a bonus!)

Candidates should be aware that due to the nature of our work some heavy lifting and working in awkward or tight positions may be required.
