About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in the debt collection industry to join our team in Parramatta, Sydney. This role is instrumental in analysing and enhancing our business processes, systems, and services to drive operational excellence and achieve strategic objectives.

The successful candidate will collaborate with various stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement and implement effective solutions. Please note, the initial training for this position includes a one-week program at our Brisbane office in Toowong.​

Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate existing business processes, systems, and applications to ensure alignment with strategic goals and identify areas for enhancement.​

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, technical teams, and stakeholders to gather business requirements, address issues, and manage expectations.​

Provide accurate advice on business and technical issues, assisting in specifying requirements for new or existing solutions.​

Analyse complex data sets to identify trends and insights that inform decision-making and support business objectives.​

Collaborate with technical teams to assess potential solutions, develop project plans, and ensure implementations meet business needs.​

Convey technical information in plain language to non-technical audiences, facilitating clear understanding across all stakeholders.​

Coordinate process improvement initiatives, liaising with business units, evaluating potential changes, and overseeing system modifications.​

Create and maintain detailed business documents, including process designs and operational procedures.​

Assist in system conversions, upgrades, and enhancements to improve efficiency and effectiveness.​

Skills and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.​

Proven experience as a Business Analyst within the debt collection industry, with a deep understanding of collections processes and regulations.​

Strong ability to analyse and synthesise business requirements, recognise patterns, and conceptualise processes.​

Familiarity with debt collection software and systems, as well as proficiency in data analysis tools.​

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.​

A proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing effective solutions.​

Meticulous in documentation and analysis to ensure accuracy and reliability.​

Willingness to travel to Brisbane for initial training and adapt to evolving project requirements.​

Desirable Qualifications:

Certifications in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA).​

Experience with Agile methodologies and tools.​

Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements in the debt collection industry.​
