About the Opportunity:
An opportunity has become available to join the Marketing, Communications and Engagement team on a 12-month fixed term contract ending May 2026.
This role is responsible for the coordination of media relations, public relations and external communications to ensure the information on Council activities and services are promoted widely. The Public Relations and External Affairs Advisor will be required to develop and implement media and communications programming, ensuring it successfully profiles Council, its services, people and projects.

You are confident and proactive in your approach to media relations.
You are a self-starter with deep knowledge of the media landscape.
Advanced in managing external communications and preparing written materials.

You will have:
Diploma in Public Relations/Communications/Journalism.
At least three (3) years' experience in a similar role.
Ability to obtain a National Police Records Check.
Valid NT Working with Children's Check (Ochre Card).
