Centrally located in Minchinbury, RAR are a licensed Designer and Water Servicing Coordinator (WSC) with full Sydney Water accreditation. RAR has been providing clients from both the public and private sectors with water and sewer related design and project management services since it began operations in 2000. Utilising our vast experience working in the industry, RAR is committed to providing services which satisfy client and Sydney Water’s needs.

We are seeking an accredited/listed Sydney Water Infrastructure Designer to work within our thriving design team. The ideal candidate would have experience in the engineering/surveying industry, either as a civil designer or working on Sydney Water projects. However, we are open to talking to the right junior designer about potential opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Be responsible for preparing detailed design plans using AutoCAD

Prepare Work-As-Constructed plans near job completion

Preparation of sewer and water documents to Sydney Water standards

Checking of guidelines and plans to ensure requirements are met

Liaising with internal admin, design, and project management teams

Liaising with clients and other external stakeholders, including Sydney Water

Use of 3d modelling software

To be successful in your application we require you to possess or be willing to obtain the following:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Diploma of Civil Engineering, Diploma of Civil Construction Design, Diploma of Surveying or equivalent

Experience using AutoCAD software

Competent computer skills and ability to use a windows-based computer with confidence

Excellent time management skills and communication skills (both written and verbal)

Proven ability to work in a busy environment

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

A high level of attention to detail

Hold Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency Status

The following skills/experience are not mandatory, but will be strongly favoured:

Current Sydney Water design accreditation

Experience with Sydney Water SUDS drafting package

Experience using 12d, Revit, Navisworks, CivilCAD, Civil3D

CPEng & NER (Civil)

Survey drafting experience

Salary is commensurate with candidate experience.
