Speech Pathologist (Part-Time) – Talk Easy Speech
Location: Newcastle, Maitland & Hunter Region, NSW (Wallsend Clinic)
About Us:
At Talk Easy Speech, we provide high-quality speech therapy services to children and their families in the Newcastle, Maitland, and Hunter regions. Our Wallsend clinic is dedicated to supporting children with a wide range of communication needs. We're currently seeking a compassionate, experienced, and dedicated Paediatric Speech Pathologist to join our team on a part-time basis.
What You'll Be Doing:
As a Speech Pathologist at Talk Easy Speech, you'll play a key role in helping children reach their communication potential by providing evidence-based therapy and support. Your responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough assessments and delivering tailored therapy for children with speech, language, fluency, and communication challenges
Providing support to children with various diagnoses, including Autism, ADHD, Global Developmental Delay, and other developmental disorders
Developing individualised therapy plans and setting measurable goals to track progress
Delivering engaging, play-based therapy sessions that are both enjoyable and effective
Writing detailed reports and progress summaries for clients, families, and other stakeholders
Collaborating with schools, families, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to therapy
Actively participating in team meetings, supervision sessions, and ongoing professional development opportunities
What We're Looking For:
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
A Bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology (or equivalent)
SPA (Speech Pathology Australia) Registration
A positive, flexible approach to working with children and their families
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
A genuine commitment to personal and professional development
A valid driver’s license and access to your own vehicle
An NDIS Workers Screening Check and Working with Children Check
Experience working with NDIS clients and/or within the disability sector is preferred, but not essential
