Glenny Kebabs currently has 5 outlets in Melbourne, with its 6th & 7th opening in late July 2025. With another 3 planed to open in 2025

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of excellent service, leadership and business planning that is best displayed while leading a growing team in a busy hospitality venue.
They must have excellent communication skills, be a proactive leader and always be willing to lead by example and help the team when required - ‘Great leaders will never expect their team to do something they wouldn’t do themselves’
They will also have prior managerial experience in the hospitality sector or similar and understand what is involved in developing high performing teams while managing the considerable responsibilities of a high performing business.
The ideal candidate is an experienced hospitality manager looking to join a genuinely enthusiastic team and take a step forward in their growing career with Glenny Kebabs to then have the ability to be coached and trained into an Area Manager
Responsibilities
Lead, manage and grow a successful hospitality venue. Proactively plan and manage overall business operations to ensure our customers receive the best possible experience while our teams are actively supported to develop and perform. All the while honouring the policies and standards upheld at Glenny Kebabs.
People – Develop, support, train and coach management personnel and team members throughout the day-to-day while leading by example. Identify high-performers and potential future managers while creating training or development pathways for existing management into the future.
Brand – Highest of standards relating to product quality and the service we provide to all our customers. Handling complaints and ensuring the venue and staff model the Glenny Kebabs standard in cleanliness, presentation and performance.
Team - Support your management team to achieve overarching business goals in restaurant, maintain financial performance and positively contribute to brand representation. Performance manage staff who breach policy or fail to meet requirements of their role. Consistently vet and hire potential candidates to ensure the venue is always adequately staffed.
Experience – Protect our customers, reduce wait times, increase customer satisfaction, enhance ambiance, cleanliness & stores presence. Contribute to the planning of innovation and best methods of achieving desired outcomes in your restaurant.
Sales – Incentivise upselling, complete and support suggestive sells, make suggestions for promotional and local area marketing ideas. Execute on sales strategies under the guidance of Head Office.
KPI’s – Labour expenditure, COGS, Compliance, OH&S, Food Safety, Customer Reviews, Product Quality, Wastage, Training, Hiring.
Tasks – execute and maintain daily and weekly tasks including but not limited to;
Rostering of staff
Forecasting and budgeting
Ordering stock
Following up with Compliance Checks
Hiring and training staff
Onboarding and Offboarding of staff from business software’s
Reviewing performance of the business and staff
Attend weekly meetings and planning sessions
Run excellent shifts
Other – Plan and implement strategies to target desirable business outcomes. Communicate actively with Head Office regarding business performance and requirements. Receive ongoing training and development and be receptive to feedback. Take charge of your development and actively seek support and resources as required.
Contribution – Contribute to the ongoing development of Glenny Kebabs and its restaurants through engaging discussion, innovation, planning and presentation of ideas to Head Office and your peers.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years experience in the hospitality industry, or similar.
Management experience is essential.
Strong connections with your team and people to maintain a strong culture and build on team performance.
Proactive leadership and displays a strong initiative level.
Ability to meet KPI’s and actively seek improvements.
Provide ongoing feedback to your team and have difficult conversations when required.
Be open to receiving feedback from your managers.
Outstanding time management and organisational skills.
Ability to multi-task and organise shifts to meet deadlines.
Understanding of shift management concepts and execution.
Well developed business acumen.
The ability to plan ahead and schedule tasks or responsibilities up to a month in advance.
A passion for customer service and food.
A desire to improve and grow alongside your teams and the business.
