About the role

Platinum Boring' is seeking experienced Directional Drill Operators to join our growing team in Dandenong, Victoria. As a Directional Drill Operator, you will play a crucial role in the delivery of our construction projects, operating specialised equipment to precisely drill and install underground utilities. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting infrastructure developments across the region.

What you'll be doing

• Operating and maintaining directional drilling equipment to install underground pipes, cables and other utilities with a high level of accuracy
• Reading and interpreting engineering plans and specifications to ensure drilling activities are completed to the required standards
• Performing routine equipment checks and maintenance to maximise productivity and safety
• Coordinating with other construction crew members to efficiently complete drilling and installation tasks
• Adhering to all relevant health, safety and environmental policies and procedures
• Providing technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced team members

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Directional Drill Operator in the construction industry
• Demonstrated ability to operate and maintain a range of directional drilling equipment
• Strong spatial awareness and attention to detail to ensure accurate drilling and pipe/cable installation
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with other construction professionals
• Commitment to work health and safety and environmental best practices
• Relevant construction industry tickets and licences
