About the role

Nepean Metal Products is seeking a Laser Cutter Programmer to join our team. This role will see you working in our factory in Emu Heights, NSW, operating and programming our high-tech laser cutting machines to support the production of a range of metal products. This role is full-time, Monday to Friday, from 7am to 3pm.

What you'll be doing

Program and operate laser cutting machines to produce various products

Process CAD files to develop cutting programs and optimize material usage

Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on laser cutting equipment

Monitor machine performance and part quality, making adjustments as needed

Collaborate with the production team to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders

Maintain organised production records

What we're looking for

A working knowledge of CAD/CAM software and programming laser cutting machines

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to optimize cutting programs and processes

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

Good communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with the production team
