The main responsibilities as Store Manager are as follows:

1. To manage the daily operations of the Store

2. To prepare a sales and marketing strategy targeting various potential customers/markets and to work with the CEO in executing the approved strategy

3. To actively pursue retail sales opportunities via

o Promotion of the company on-line catalogue

o Advertising using social media for the targeted markets

o Product promotions and specials

4. To do an annual review of all existing product pricing and proposing a new pricing structure/level. This will entail a detailed understanding of the cost structures of the Store and the inventory of auto glass products

5. To improve descriptions and content of the on-line catalogue together with the HO

6. To assist customers with searching the correct auto glass product for their requirements

7. To ensure that customer relationships are developed and maintained

8. To respond to any customer requests, complaints, etc.

9. To prepare Stores monthly, quarterly and annual expenditure budgets

10. To manage the Store’s staffing requirements including:

o Hiring of new staff

o Training of staff in the handling of auto glass in accordance with occupational health and safety regulations

o On going supervision

11. To use the Company’s financial and warehousing systems to:

o Invoice all customers

o Handle cash and card payments from customers and correctly record in accordance with company procedures

o Regularly prepare cash deposits and banking of such deposits

o Backing up the company documents

o Account for all movements of the stock such that the physical quantities are accurately known at any point in time

o Track Store expenditures against budget and report on variances

12. To be responsible for the safekeeping of the inventory of all glass and accessories in the warehouse

13. To do cyclic stock takes as required

14. To facilitate various operational tasks:

o Compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004 and the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations 2017.

o Ensure the safety, health, and welfare of employees and other people at work

o Organise the warehouse in accordance with OHS and keep all areas need and tidy.

o Unloading of the auto glass from containers and the delivery trucks onto racks

o the disposal of waste including breakup of crates no longer required

o the consolidation of crates of glass such that space is freed up to enable replenishment of glass

o Handle automotive glass for customer orders and relocation within the warehouse

15. Other ad-hoc duties as required.

Requirements:

A minimum of one year experience in the Automotive glass industry is essential.

Tertiary qualification including a minimum of a Diploma in Business or the Automotive industry

Demonstrated experience in sales strategy targeting the auto industry

Sound technical knowledge of auto glass and the various components of the products

Demonstrated experience in running a store with minimal supervision

Deep understanding of auto glaziers and issues affecting the trade and demonstrated experience in dealing with auto glaziers.

Sound IT skills including using Reckon warehousing systems and Excel
