Located 20km south of Lockhart and within 100km of Albury and Wagga Wagga in the Riverina Area of NSW with local access to schools, hospitals, sporting facilities (AFL, netball, gym, swimming pool and a range of opportunities for children’s sports) and other essential services close by.

We are a family farming enterprise operating approx. 6000ac consisting of a cereal and hay cropping program and grazing 2000 merino ewes. We are seeking an experienced farm hand to join our team and be involved in a wide variety of farm operations.

The ideal applicant will be involved in all aspects of the cropping cycle including, but not limited to air seeder operations, chemical spraying, spreading, general tractor work, chaser bin and header operations. Prime mover operations are also possible for applicants with a minimum HC licence, which is highly regarded.

The modern machinery fleet is predominantly Case IH and is maintained where possible on site, with some mechanical knowledge desired. This role involves general maintenance and upkeep of the farm facilities, fencing and general machinery servicing.

With a dual purpose of wool and prime lamb production, sheep are moved utilizing dogs, utes, motorbikes and truck transfer when necessary between farms. This role will involve performing associated tasks such as mustering, feeding, drenching, vaccinating and assisting during crutching and shearing.

Ideally, candidates will have recent experience on mixed enterprises and enjoy variety in their workday along with the following attributes:

· A passion for agriculture and pride in your work

· Excellent time management and communication skills

· Ability to follow instructions and work both unsupervised and within a small team

· Australian driver’s licence essential (HC highly regarded)

· Farm machinery operation experience

· Autosteer GPS knowledge and operational experience

· Experience with tow behind spray rigs and chemical certification desirable

· Mechanical aptitude and fabrication skills

· Experience in sheep handling and animal husbandry

· A sound understanding of WHS practices
