About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Lively's Tax Consultants' as a Tax Accountant. You will play a crucial role in providing expert tax planning and compliance services to our diverse client base. The role is based in our Applecross, WA office.

What you'll be doing

Prepare and review complex individual, small business, partnership, trust, company & SMSF tax returns, ensuring full compliance with relevant tax legislation

Provide proactive tax planning advice to clients, identifying opportunities to optimise their tax position

Liaise directly with clients to understand their unique financial circumstances and requirements

Conduct research and stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations

Liaising with the ATO and other government agencies.

Marketing and further growing our client base.

What we're looking for

Degree in Accounting or equivalent and a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification

8+ years of post-qualification experience in tax accounting, preferably within a professional services tax advisory firm

Comprehensive knowledge of Australian tax legislation and the ability to apply this in a practical, client-focused manner

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax matters in simple terms

Strong project management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Commitment to continuous learning and professional development

Preferred experience with MYOB AE, MYOB AR, XERO, BGL, CAS, Now Infinity, Microsoft Office
