We're seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our dynamic team.

The Role

Our Southern Tasmania division is currently looking for a full-time MR Truck Driver to join our team based at our Hobart yard. Reporting to the Transport Supervisor, you will be primarily responsible for providing timely collection services with a focus on safety, customer service, punctuality, and a great flexible attitude.

Your responsibilities will include:

Ensuring efficient service to customers/clients by collecting full scrap metal bins, and/or delivering empty bins, in a timely fashion

Communicating with management to identify any industry movement and activity, or any on-site concerns regarding OHS, environmental or collection issues arising

Work in accordance with a daily plan for routine collections

Ensure all work is completed in accordance with our site safety, environmental and quality procedures

Operational support in the yard as required

Qualifications & experience

MR/HR license with previous experience

Excellent customer service ethic

Effective communication skills and the ability to work autonomously

Adaptable to respond to transport and operations requests

Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated with a strong work ethic

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

It will be of added advantage if you have

Previous experience in a similar industry

Tickets to operate various load shifting equipment such as excavators and forklifts.
