Summary of Role
You will be responsible for:
• The day-to-day running and provision of Valmar’s payroll services.
• Assisting the Manager - Financial Operations in meeting and maintaining compliance with financial legislation and requirements.
• Working mostly independently, under the general oversight of the Manager - Financial Operations.
• Exercising independence within specified services, budget, and team.
About You
We are looking for someone with:
• Demonstrated experience in finance, particularly in payroll coordination and processing.
• Post-secondary qualifications in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Experience with payroll software, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word).
• Proven ability to process payroll efficiently, including wages, tax, superannuation, leave entitlements, and terminations.
• Sound knowledge of financial compliance requirements, including relevant legislation.
• Proven ability to maintain accurate and timely record-keeping and manage confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
• Knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) and commitment to maintaining a safe workplace.
• Understanding of Disability and/or Aged Care Service Standards.
• A current Australian Driver’s Licence.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Effective communication and teamwork skills to liaise effectively with the CFO, finance staff, and other stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently under general supervision while being an effective team player.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
