About the role

We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team at Rural Health Tasmania in Devonport, Tasmania. This is a part or full-time role supporting our clients with their mental health. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the wellbeing and quality of life for those in our community who are managing complex mental health challenges. This role sees clients in our office setting or in the community. We are not a hospital, we work generally 9-5 weekdays.

What you'll be doing

Providing compassionate, person-centred nursing care to clients with mental health conditions

Assessing client needs, developing and implementing individualised supports; improving their health literacy

Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate holistic care

Offering emotional support and counselling to clients and their families

Documenting client progress and maintaining accurate records

Participating in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with best practices

What we're looking for

Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration, with at least 3 years RN experience

Either posses or willing to work towards suitable mental health accredited qualification (or the ability to work towards mental health accreditation, with support from Rural Health Tas)

Knowledge of evidence-based mental health practices is an advantage

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients

Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care

Current valid driver's licence and ability to successfully apply for Working with Vulnerable People check, and approved police check
