We are seeking a passionate and skilled Qualified Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team at a renowned waterfront restaurant. If you have a Cert IV in Commercial Cookery and at least 1 year of professional kitchen experience, this is a fantastic opportunity to take the next step in your culinary career. Key Responsibilities

Oversee and manage your designated section of the kitchen, ensuring food preparation is consistent with restaurant standards.

Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes, ensuring exceptional quality and taste at all times.

Assist with the training and development of junior kitchen staff, maintaining a strong team environment.

Maintain a clean and organised work station, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.

Work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chefs to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen.

Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and ensuring proper stock rotation.

Ensure that all dishes are prepared on time, according to the restaurant’s specifications, and presented to the highest standard.

Contribute to menu planning and help innovate new dishes in collaboration with the senior team.

Manage food waste and ensure the highest levels of cost-efficiency in your section.

Skills and Experience

Cert IV in Commercial Cookery (required).

Minimum 1 year of experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Strong knowledge of modern cooking techniques and kitchen operations.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards under pressure.

Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask efficiently.

Passion for food and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Familiarity with HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) and kitchen safety standards.

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required.

Experience in pizza section preferred.

Additional Requirements

Ability to relocate if not currently local to the area. Relocation assistance is available.
