Lead Business, Cultural and Financial Services in a Dynamic Regional Hub

Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead the Business, Cultural & Financial Services Directorate, overseeing key areas including financial planning, procurement, asset management, and cultural facilities such as the Griffith Regional Theatre, Art Gallery, Library, and Pioneer Park Museum. You will also manage the Griffith Regional Aquatic and Sports Centres, ensuring they deliver value to the community.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and managing Council’s financial strategies, budgets, and investment portfolio.
- Leading a team of managers across finance, cultural services, and community facilities.
- Driving grant applications and funding opportunities to support Council’s infrastructure priorities.
- Engaging with elected representatives, stakeholders, and the community to deliver effective and efficient services.
You will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in accounting or a related field (CPA or CA membership desirable).
- Senior-level experience in financial management, budgeting, and statutory reporting.
- A strong understanding of local government legislation and governance.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage teams.
- Excellent communication skills that enable you to work across departments, with elected members and key stakeholders.
- The ability to represent Council at senior levels with senior agencies, professionals and the community.
