About the role
Provide Specialist orthodontic treatment for children/adolescents up to 17 years of age from Queensland metropolitan and country areas. Comprehensive dental and orthodontic treatment for children and adults with cleft lip/palate conditions and craniofacial deformities with advice from the Senior Dental Specialist Orthodontist as required. Emergency and supportive dental treatment for inpatients and casualty patients at the Queensland Children's Hospital.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Diagnose and develop treatment plans for complex malocclusions and the co-ordination of multi-disciplinary case management to ensure that treatment is of the highest standard.
- Participate as a specialist orthodontic team member in the Cleft Palate Clinics at the Queensland Children's Hospital and Mater Hospital's Adolescent & Young Adult Clinic & Theatre, and the Craniofacial Clinics at the Queensland Children's Hospital to ensure that multi-disciplinary specialist treatment is provided to cleft lip/palate and craniofacial anomaly patients at the ideal treatment times.
- This position is responsible and accountable for the provision of high-quality specialist oral health care with efficiency and effectiveness.
