Maintenance Fitter

Dandenong VIC

• Dayshift but must be flexible to work occasionally on Afternoon shift when required
• Occasional Overtime work on weekend
• Hours Mon - Fri 7am-3.30pm - Afternoon Shift-3.00pm - 11.00pm
• Hourly Rate $60 + Travel Allowance + Travel Kms when applicable.

Our client employs a team of experienced Mechanical Maintenance, who carry out various project works nationwide.

Due to the company's expansion, they are seeking to employ experience mechanical maintenance people, to join their existing team in Dandenong.

The Role

• Responsible for general mechanical maintenance, repairs, services and installation.
• Servicing both industrial and commercial industries
• Shifts do range from day through to nights including 12 hour rotating rosters and overtime on weekends when and if required

About you

• Australian Trade Qualified Maintenance Fitter in industrial, manufacturing, or construction sectors
• Experience in maintenance of production lines, food and beverage.
• Able to work flexible hours when required
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
• You need to have the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

Duties

• You will be required to Assist Mechanical Manager and Mechanical Supervisor with service works.
• Carry out mechanical services, including fabrication, installation, and maintenance
• Analyse project specifications
• Read and interpret technical drawings
• Determine material, labour, and equipment requirements needed
• Assist when required on service works and shift maintenance.
• Knowledge of machine guarding, structural steelwork, industrial installations and process systems
