Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Contribute to the State budget process for the department. This includes the financial information for strategic and operational submissions for the Cabinet Budget Review Committee, the departmental Service Delivery Statements, annual departmental financial statements and ad hoc requests.
• Provide input into the department's cash management and forecasting function including the provision of daily cash forecasts to Queensland Treasury Corporation and develop strategies and polices for managing cash flow throughout the department.
• Contribute to the department's external financial performance reporting process for Queensland Treasury (TRIDATA) and provide reporting to the Executive Leadership Team and the Finance and Performance Committee through detailed analysis and investigation of specific areas of departmental performance over time.
• Reviewing and updating departmental business and financial planning guidelines in consultation with key stakeholders.
• Providing and maintaining budget development tools to meet whole of department requirements and ensure departmental staff receive appropriate training.
• Foster an equitable and fair workplace ethos through the implementation of management standards and policies.
• Perform other tasks as directed by the Director (Financial Planning and Analysis) and Managers (Financial Planning and Analysis).
