QEM is currently seeking Diesel Fitters!

We are seeking experienced Underground HD Fitters to join our team for site work in North West Queensland working on rotating 8/6 roster for a leading underground mining company.

Key Functions and Responsibilities:

Perform the servicing, repair and maintenance of a range of underground mining equipment including Normet, Volvo, Sandvik loaders and Sandvik Development and Production drills

Performing diagnostic assessments and utilizing diagnostic programs effectively

Collaborating effectively within a team environment to achieve shared goals

Able to complete Risk Identification and Management procedures following company policies and procedures

We are looking for candidates with:

A Cert III in Mechanical Trade Qualification (heavy vehicle preferred)

Previous experience with underground mining equipment - Sandvik, Epiroc, Normet, Volvo, CAT

A current ‘C Class’ licence or HR licence

Able to pass a Pre-Employment Medical including Drug and Alcohol Screen

Working at Heights, EWP, Forklift, Confined space and White Card tickets beneficial
