This well-established financial advisory firm is looking for an experienced Insurance Specialist to join their team of top insurance advisors and support staff and take their career to the next level.

With 20 years in the industry, the business is progressive and up-to-date with technology but still has a solid reputation and strong presence in the market. Their client base is made up of loyal high-net-worth individuals and businesses who expect the highest level of service. Many of these clients refer family and friends, which has helped the business grow quickly and organically.

They offer a supportive working environment and provide many opportunities for staff to take ownership of their role and skills and build a long-term career.

Take over an existing portfolio of clients and receive a steady stream of leads from the general insurance division. With the number of leads that will be referred to you, you will also have an opportunity to build your own portfolio of clients to service and manage.

You will work alongside and a team of very experienced CSO's and Paraplanners. These team members are highly skilled and able to manage all implementation and Paraplanning.

Some of your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting client fact finds to identify client risk requirements and pre-assessing any underwriting conditions
  • Development of risk insurance based strategies to meet client's needs and goals
  • Delivery of recommendations to clients through presentation of Statements of Advice and supporting documentation
  • Servicing an existing portfolio with the assistance of administrators and paraplanners
  • Work closely with in house general insurance team and manage new client referrals they provide to you
  • Ensuring adequate compliance records are maintained

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Degree qualified and FASEA approved
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a Risk Advisor / specialist or a strong Paraplanning/Associate Advisor background and ready to step up
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, personable manner
  • Previous experience with Xplan preferred
  • Strong insurance product knowledge essential

You will also demonstrate the ability to develop trusted and respected relationships at all levels.

This business is open-minded to taking an associate-level candidate to grow into the role, or a very senior candidate who doesn’t want sales pressure and would prefer a pure servicing role.
