Digital Content & Marketing Coordinator

Tragic Beautiful has been a staple of Australia’s alternative fashion and lifestyle scene for 19 years. We’re all about the best in gothic, witchy, and alternative fashion, homewares, witchcraft supplies, crystals, shoes, cosmetics, and accessories—plus, we’ve built an incredible, engaged community around our brand.

As an independent business with a small, tight-knit team, we all jump in where needed, creating a dynamic work environment (with plenty of staff perks!). This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working, splitting time between our Greenbank home office and remote work.

We’re on the hunt for a creative, organised, and self-motivated marketing all-rounder who gets our community, understands our values, and is ready to take our content and digital marketing to the next level. If you thrive in a fast-paced, fun, and sometimes chaotic environment where no two days are the same, this might just be your dream job!

What You’ll Be Doing:

Creating engaging email marketing campaigns via Klaviyo and managing automated email flows

Running and growing our social media presence (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok)

Planning, scheduling, and creating content that resonates with our audience for our social media platforms, blog and website.

Managing influencer and UGC (user-generated content) partnerships and repurposing content for brand assets

Being an active presence in our Facebook group community - keeping the vibe fun, supportive, and engaging

Brainstorming and executing unique promotions and marketing campaigns

Assisting with other tasks based on your skills and strengths

What We’re Looking For:

Some experience in content creation and digital marketing.

Must be comfortable creating and appearing in content, including videos, and becoming a visible part of our brand. This includes engaging with our community and featuring on our website. An understanding of goth, witchy, and alternative subcultures is essential.

Hands-on experience with Klaviyo (or similar EDM software) and email campaign strategy

Strong social media skills, from content creation and scheduling to analytics

A solid understanding of our niche and audience

Basic (or better) graphic design skills

A self-motivated, proactive mindset - Able to thrive in an autonomous work environment, demonstrating strong self-motivation and accountability

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects at once

A creative thinker who’s always brimming with new ideas

We are an LGBTQ+ friendly, neurodivergent-inclusive, sw friendly, and anti-discrimination workplace, welcoming applicants from all backgrounds, including those facing disadvantage. We expect our team members to uphold these values, fostering an inclusive, respectful, and supportive environment.

Bonus Points For:

Experience with Meta Ads (Facebook/Instagram advertising)

Knowledge of Google Shopping and PPC marketing

Prior experience with Shopify or other eCommerce platforms

Familiarity with SEO tools like SEMRush or Ahrefs

A passion for alternative fashion, subcultures, and all things gothic & witchy

Why You’ll Love Working With Us:

We offer a flexible, friendly, and fun work environment where your creativity can shine. It’s fast-paced and deadline-driven, so you’ll need to be organised and ready to hit the ground running—but you’ll also have the freedom to bring your ideas to life and make a real impact.

We’re looking for someone as passionate about our brand and community as we are!

While this is a full-time position, we can also offer the role as 4 days a week or 9 days a fortnight if preferred - we care about your life balance!
