Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Associate Structure to join our dynamic team in Sydney. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading and delivering structural engineering projects, overseeing design, analysis, and project execution. This role involves close collaboration with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure innovative, high-quality, and cost-effective solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, leadership abilities, and a commitment to excellence in structural engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage structural engineering projects, ensuring efficient execution from concept to completion while maintaining project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Apply engineering principles and software tools to design and analyse structural systems, including steel, concrete, timber, and masonry components.

Conduct site inspections to assess construction progress, compliance with design specifications, and structural integrity.

Collaborate closely with clients, architects, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure seamless coordination and project success.

Review engineering reports, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to support project requirements and design solutions.

Oversee quality assurance processes, ensuring accuracy and reliability in design calculations, drawings, and project deliverables.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities by building and maintaining strong client relationships, contributing to business development, and supporting proposal preparation.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering professional development within the team.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field.

A minimum of 7 years of local experience in structural engineering, preferably in consulting or design firms.

Must have experience in PT slab design.

Experience working in tall buildings through the design and construction phase will be an advantage.

Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as ETABS, RAPT, RAM Concept, SPACE GASS, and other relevant tools.

Strong knowledge of Australian building codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., AS 3600, AS 4100, AS 1170).

Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams.

Project management experience, including the ability to oversee multiple projects, meet deadlines, and manage resources efficiently.

Proven ability to deliver high-quality engineering solutions while ensuring compliance with technical and safety standards.

Business development mindset, with experience in client relationship management and securing new project opportunities.
