About the role…

The position we have available is based in our Disability Employment Service Program, across Greater Sydney. This program supports people with disability, navigate the world of employment.

Your role works in conjunction with other members of your team, each fulfilling an important part in supporting people day-to-day as they navigate life finding employment and being employed. As a Post Placement support officer - which we call an Employment Development Consultant at Breakthru, your role supports people once they have secured employment. It includes:

Engaging and developing relationships with people to support and empower their employment journey.

Working with employers to help identify and overcome any barriers or challenges, leading to positive outcomes.

Regular check-ins and updates, providing positive encouragement and guidance.

You will also be required to complete a range of administration to document a person’s progress in line with program funding and reports.

About you…

This wonderful opportunity is available immediately. It would suit someone who has previous experience in a similar role, or those who have experience supporting people with a disability who may be looking for a career transition into a Monday-Friday, office-based support role.

To be successful in this career transition you must have solid foundations when it comes to computers, software and navigating office-based work -such as completing administrative tasks and organizing your time effectively.

You are someone who can easily build a rapport with others and can adapt your communication style to build relationships and navigate challenges. Most importantly you are someone who is genuinely passionate about community connection and who finds fulfillment in seeing others achieve their goals.

Your experience might include the delivery of complex or challenging essential services or other direct support work; lived/living personal or family experience of disability, or from an administration, recruitment or human services background looking for work in the disability sector.

Pending experience, the base salary range on this role is between $62K-$69K+ 11.5% Super + $18,550 salary packaging benefits (which boosts your take home pay) + Royal Rewards as outlined below.

With a knowledgeable team to guide you, along with a thorough induction and orientation, you will be supported to deliver amazing services to people in the community and develop your skills and career!
