Job Description

We are seeking a Delivery Driver to join Midas Mediterranean which is based in Bowen Hills.

Responsibilities of the role

Independently operate and monitor the delivery truck, ensuring it is running safely and efficiently.

Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines to maintain a safe, clean, and hygienic work environment.

Accurately pick, dispatch, and deliver all products to our customers.

Stock rotation at the restaurants and factory to ensure food safety/FIFO principles are being adhered to.

Conduct quality checks on finished products, and packaging to maintain consistent standards.

Collaborate with the production team to meet customer requirements and deadlines.

Report equipment malfunctions, product defects or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.

General vehicle & equipment maintenance (pumping tires, checking fluid levels, cleaning the delivery vehicle and equipment).

Requirements of the role:

Prior experience in delivery driving is essential.

Prior experience in food handling is advantageous.

Ability to meet deadlines in a physically demanding environment.

Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 20kg boxes daily).

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.

Excellent time management and organisational skills to prioritise tasks effectively.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Good understanding of English (written & verbal) and basic Math’s.

Thorough understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.

Exceptional attendance and punctuality are a must!

Mandatory Requirements

Food Safety Certificate- (Can be obtained free of cost during on-boarding)

Full/open car licence (MR or HR licence not required, but advantageous for future progression)

Must have a clean driving record (Traffic History will be checked prior to commencement)

Working rights - passport and visa grant for international workers must be provided with application.
