South West Community Legal Centre (SWCLC) Inc. is a not for profit community-based organisation providing quality legal advice, information and education targeted to low income, disadvantaged or marginalised people across the South West.
Our staff are committed to providing access to justice services in their Bunbury office and through Outreach to six other regional centres - Bridgetown, Busselton, Collie, Harvey, Manjimup and Margaret River. Our centre also provides key Duty Lawyer services in the Bunbury and Busselton Magistrates courts.
Position Purpose
We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Executive Officer to provide executive support to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and assist in achieving SWCLC’s strategic goals. This role is vital in ensuring outstanding client service, operational efficiency, and strong governance across the organisation.
This 1.0 FTE role offers flexible working hours. The position is hybrid, allowing a combination of work from home and in-office days in Bunbury. Applicants living in Bunbury or surrounds highly desirable.
Working closely with the CEO, you will manage all aspects of administration management, executive support, stakeholder engagement, and cultural development, ensuring that SWCLC operates smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Executive Support: Assist the CEO in administrative functions, including preparing reports, managing correspondence, and board meeting materials. Support CEO scheduling, internal communications, and document organisation.
Governance & Compliance: Ensure compliance with policies, maintain accreditation standards, and oversee data reporting and funding acquittals.
Human Resources & Administration: Manage staff inductions, volunteers, office administration, and oversee admin team workload. Draft and maintain job advertisements and staffing rosters.
Financial & Operational Management: Assist with funding submissions, coordinate bookings and outreach service delivery, and maintain organisational records.
Stakeholder Engagement & Events: Liaise with key stakeholders to coordinate community events, legal education initiatives, and networking opportunities. Assist in promoting the organisation through events and social media.
Culture & Development: Promote a positive workplace culture, ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety legislation, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
IT support: Working closely with our contracted IT, maintain technology, troubleshoot and solve onsite tech issues, audit and update tech, install and onboard new devices. Audit and manage practice management software.

You are a highly organised and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in business administration, social work, or a related field. Your ability to manage multiple priorities, problem-solve effectively, and communicate clearly will be key to your success in this role. To be successful in this role, you will have:
A university degree in business, HR, social work, or 5+ experience in a similar role.
Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to draft reports, correspondence, and manage data collection.
Experience using Microsoft Office, social media, and website management tools.
Legal, and/ or not for profit experience desirable.
Strong time management and ability to manage competing priorities.
A strong commitment to social justice and community service.
Trauma informed service delivery training
Cultural Awareness training
A current National Criminal History Check, First Aid Certificate, and Driver’s Licence.
