The opportunity

Seaford Day Surgery is seeking a dedicated Sterilisation Technician to join our team in Seaford Heights, SA. As a part-time role 60 hours per fortnight, this position is essential in ensuring the highest standards of instrument and equipment sterilisation to support our healthcare operations.

Casual Opportunities are also available for those interested. Work is Monday to Friday with varied shifts between the hours of 8.00 am and 8.00 pm.

Key responsibilities

Effectively decontaminate, inspect, assemble, pack, and sterilise medical instruments and equipment

Maintain accurate records and documentation of the sterilisation process

Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and infection control standards

Assist with the organisation and stock management of the sterilisation department

Collaborate with the wider healthcare team to provide a seamless sterilisation service

What we're looking for

Formal qualifications in sterilisation, such as a Certificate III in Sterilisation Services or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years' experience.

Demonstrated experience as a Sterilisation Technician or in a similar role within a healthcare setting

Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sterility

Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

A keen interest in the healthcare industry and a passion for supporting patient care
