As a Legal Research Support Lawyer/Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and relevance of our educational programs. This exciting position involves:
- Comprehensive Legal Research: Dive deep into legal research to support the development and maintenance of our educational content.
- Content Development: Synthesize and organize legal information for presentation within our Learning Management System (LMS) and other program materials. Write and update content to keep our programs cutting-edge.
- Program Design: Collaborate with the Education Strategy and Design Team to create new programs and enhance existing ones. Your innovative ideas will help shape the future of legal education.
- Coordination: Manage research-related subscriptions, maintain passwords, handle renewals, and investigate potential new subscriptions. Work closely with the eLearning team to provide access to subscriptions via the LMS.
- Support: Assist Course Designers, Practice Groups, Facilitators, and Program Managers with research support. Act as the point of contact for general research issues.
- Legal qualification at Degree level (or equivalent).
- Completed Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice.
- Research or education experience is desirable.
- Demonstrated legal research skills.
- Preferred experience using a Learning Management System, such as Brightspace.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint; basic skills in Excel, SharePoint, and Adobe.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and autonomously when required.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Interest in legal educational professional development.
- Capability to learn new software products.
