Our client, a leading global asset finance provider, is seeking a Head of Credit Risk (APAC) to provide strategic risk oversight, complex credit structuring expertise, and high-level stakeholder engagement across multiple regions.

The Role

As the Head of Credit Risk (APAC), you will act as a trusted advisor and risk expert for complex, high-value transactions worth over $50 million, ensuring alignment with risk appetite and business strategy. You will engage with first-line underwriting teams, provide structured risk guidance, and oversee credit risk management in a dynamic, multinational setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Credit & Risk Leadership - Provide expert risk oversight for complex, structured deals and major international clients.
• Strategic Decision-Making - Approve and recommend high-risk credit applications, restructuring strategies, and funding limit proposals.
• Stakeholder Engagement - Act as a senior advisor to risk leadership, business units, and external partners.
• Portfolio Risk Management - Ensure proactive risk identification, assessment, and mitigation across global vendor finance operations.
• Coaching & Development - Mentor credit underwriters and risk professionals across multiple regions.
• Regulatory & Compliance Oversight - Maintain strong governance in line with local and international financial regulations.

What You Bring

• 8+ years of experience in Banking or Asset Finance, with a focus on complex transaction structuring and risk management.
• Proven expertise in credit application approvals, restructuring, and recovery strategies.
• Strong understanding of risk vs. reward in financial decision-making.
• Ability to influence & build relationships across internal teams, external partners, and global markets.
• Experience in asset finance and structured lending is highly desirable.
• A natural leader & coach, with a passion for developing high-performing teams.
