Duties and Responsibilities

Guide technical design and architecture

Work with product people to understand and flesh out requirements for implementations

Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable services

Drive best practices and produce high-quality code

Lead troubleshooting of complex bugs and issues

Do hands-on coding alongside the team and serve as a mentor

Ensure deliverables meet the quality bar

Requirements

Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or its equivalent related experience.

6+ years of experience in the development of various complex systems.

Experienced and proficient in working with one of these languages, preferably Elixir, Javascript, Ruby on Rails, Go, Scala, Haskell or any other functional programming language.

Experience with Node.js, React.js or React native.

Experienced in high load, high traffic transactional systems.

Attention to detail and reliability are what you take pride in.

Ability to lead a team or liaise with stakeholders in managing project delivery.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

DevOps experience with AWS or Azure, Docker.

Production experience with Elixir.

Open-source repositories and contributions.

Experience working on greenfield software projects.
