HarperLloyd Recruitment are looking for an intermediate/senior level Legal Assistant to join our client, who is a mid-tier national firm based in the Brisbane CBD.

This role will work on a variety of Planning and Environment matters, and will see you support a Partner. Working in a commercial capacity, the matters you will work on will be for private, local and state governments, developers and landowners and could include town planning advice, development advice, due diligence, agreements, climate change advice and compensation, threatened species, waste management, litigation and a variety of other environment matters.

You can expect to complete the following duties in your day:

• Diary, email and travel management;
• Opening and closing files;
• Monthly billing;
• Drafting correspondence and documents;
• Brief preparation; and
• General PA support to your team.

About you:

• You have a minimum of 2yrs experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally from a litigation or corporate background.
• Experience with monthly billing and diary management is highly desirable, but can be taught
• Positive nature
• Willingness to learn
• Ability to communicate well to various types of people
