St John of God Frankston Rehabilitation Hospital is a 60-bed rehabilitation hospital focused on supporting patients to regain independence and improving their quality of life by offering specialist neurological, cardiac, orthopaedic, movement disorder (including Parkinson's disease) and reconditioning programs to patients from across the Mornington Peninsula and Greater Melbourne areas.

Your role at St John of God Frankston Hospital
The Grade 1 Occupational Therapist works alongside the multi-disciplinary team to provide clinical occupational therapy services to clients/patients using evidence based clinical practice skills.
You will practice as an Occupational Therapist and ensures practice is in accordance with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia Code of Ethics and SJGHC policies and guidelines.

The Position

• Provide direct occupational therapy services to clients/patients and or carers on an individual or group level for both inpatients and outpatients. Completion of comprehensive patient assessment (e.g. assessment of personal care, domestic and community ADLs, assessment of the home environment, cognitive and functional physical assessment as required).
  
• Provision of a comprehensive treatment intervention and appropriate progression treatment to match functional goals.
  
• Coordinate the provision of special aids and equipment requirements of patients if required to assist with functioning
  
• Provide consultation and support to medical, nursing, catering and allied health professionals within the Division as appropriate.
  
• Responsible for completing appropriate administrative duties arising from each session instructed. This requires liaison with the office administration team, reporting of statistical data and completion of clinical documentation

You will hold a registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Occupational Therapist and will have current valid Driver's Licence.

To succeed you will have knowledge and skills in assessment, treatment and evaluation within Occupational Therapy practice and demonstrate the ability to work independently and within a multi-disciplinary team.

• Salary $43.38 - $59.98 per hour (casual loading included) plus 11.5% superannuation
