Language Disorder Australia is seeking a passionate Health and Physical Education (HPE) Teacher to join our specialist school, Mancel College, and empower students to embrace healthy, active lifestyles while reaching their full potential.
Location: Mancel College @ Fig Tree Pocket, Brisbane (with some travel for events)
Position Type: Full Time, Permanent
Start Date: Term 3, however we are flexible and open if you are seeking an earlier start date
As our HPE Teacher, you won’t just “teach", you’ll champion the mission of Language Disorder Australia, creating inclusive and engaging physical education programs that help children and young people with Language Disorder, connect, belong, and achieve.
Working within a values based organisation, you’ll promote the importance of health and physical activity for students of all abilities. From planning exciting lessons that align with curriculum standards to ensuring student wellbeing and safety, your focus on inclusive practice will foster a classroom (and outdoor) environment where every student can succeed.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
As a Health and Physical Education (HPE) Teacher, you will:
Be qualified and ready to go as a teacher (Hold teaching qualifications, QCT registrations, Child Safety Checks, Experience and knowledge to be a phenomenal and influential teacher).
Understand the needs of students with Language Disorder and Co-occurring Disabilities
Plan and Deliver HPE Curriculum
Foster Student Engagement and Wellbeing
Collaborate with Staff, Parents, and Community
Assess and Report Student Progress
Coordinate Extra/Co-Curricular Activities
Be committed to professional growth
