- Salary range: $98,902 - $123,624 plus super plus salary packaging
- Up to $15,900 in salary packaging and hybrid WFH & office model
About the role
As part of the Legal Help Senior team, you will be responsible for supporting a team of legal staff including rostered supervision duties, encouraging high performance, responding to inbound and outbound escalated enquiries, auditing calls, supporting complaint handling, and legal compliance matters whilst ensuring the team provides consistent, high quality and efficient legal services in line with Legal Help service guidelines.
This role will suit an experienced lawyer (preferably with experience in Family, Criminal, Civil, or Child Protection law) with previous experience in providing generalist legal advice, and it does not involve ongoing case work or court advocacy.
This role is based at our Melbourne CBD office on Wurundjeri Country.
About you
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
- A Victorian Legal Practicing Certificate (mandatory).
- Minimum 5 years of legal practice experience, with demonstrated ability to provide high quality and fit-for-purpose legal advice and/or services to a range of internal clients.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex legal issues across a range of jurisdictions, acting as the point of escalation for the Client Intake and Information team and lawyers in the Legal Advice and Specialist Services branch.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills with the ability to deliver training to VLA staff.
