About the role

We are looking for an hotel finance professional who can assist the Group Financial Controller and Owners support the operating team, managing the overall finance functions of the role.

This is a full-time role, primarily responsible for The Reef House Adults Retreat based onsite in Palm Cove, however we also operate an alternative location at our finance hub at Mount Lofty Estate in The Adelaide Hills, about 15 minutes south of the Adelaide CBD.

This role includes managing the daily finance functions, reconciling the transactions, perform end of month processing & reporting, budgeting, forecasting, payroll processing, cash flow projections and evaluating and improving systems and procedures.

Skills and experience

You will be a dynamic hotel accounting professional, seeking to take the next step in their hotel finance career.

The Finance Lead will need to work with managers across all operating departments, finding efficiencies in the operation.

The experience required to bring to the position includes:

3+ years experience working within a hotel finance environment

Previous experience as a similar role as a Finance Lead or Assistant Financial Controller looking to take the next career steps

Up to date knowledge of hotel accounting standards; HIGA and other industrial awards; experience with hotel IT Tech is also an advantage

Experience in developing, assessing risk & improving financial governance and control for end-to-end processes;

Knowledge of Opera Cloud, Employment Hero, Lightyear is desirable

Tertiary qualifications in commerce, accounting or business; and

CPA qualification is desirable but not essential

Positive attitude towards making a difference and supporting the team
