About the role

Lumia Care Group is seeking passionate and experienced Registered Nurse's with Anaesthetic and Scrub/ Scout experience to join our team in Wollongong, NSW. This is a casual role with the opportunity to work flexible hours, providing an excellent work-life balance. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care within our Theatre Team.

What you'll be doing

Assist anaesthetists in administering anaesthesia and monitoring patients’ vital signs

Provide preoperative assessments and patient education

Monitoring patient progress and reporting any changes in condition to the healthcare team

Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care

Prepare and maintain sterile field for surgeries

Assist surgeons and surgical staff during procedures by anticipating needs

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records

Adhering to all relevant healthcare regulations, guidelines and safety protocols

What we're looking for

Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia

Minimum of 2 years' experience working as a Registered Nurse in a Peri Operative setting

Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based nursing practices

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with patients, families and the healthcare team

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Commitment to continuous professional development and quality improvement
