About the role

The Central NSW Joint Organisation is looking for a dynamic, flexible and hard-working person to join the team as a full-time 'Project Officer - Net Zero and Resilience'. The CNSWJO supports its member councils through collaboration, advocacy to achieve the best outcome for regional communities, and operational efficiencies for councils.

This rewarding role would suit someone who thrives in a small, supportive team and who wants to make a difference for the councils and communities of Central NSW. The fast-paced working environment and variety of tasks means that no two days are the same. Problem-solving skills and a high-level attention to detail are key elements of the role.

What you'll be doing

The Project Officer - Net Zero and Resilience works with the CNSWJO net zero and regional resilience teams to coordinate, deliver and support various grant funded regional projects and priorities for member councils.

We are looking for someone who can deliver a project end-to-end, working autonomously and bringing key stakeholders on the journey. A high level of communication and interpersonal skills are a must.

What we're looking for

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive individual with the following qualities:

Proven experience in a project-related role, preferably within a government organisation

Team player who can work cooperatively in a team environment and provide support across other areas of the CNSWJO as required.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality outcomes

Strong administrative skills with the ability to complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner.

Excellent communication skills to enhance ongoing relationships with key stakeholders.

Attention to detail for accurate data entry and research.

35 hours per week

3 year contract position. Note: the position may be extended beyond 3 years should funding be available.

$1,615.10 per week + superannuation

Four weeks annual leave

Long Service Leave after 5 years

Access to a work vehicle for travel is provided

A phone and laptop will be provided

Location: CNSWJO Bathurst office, or elsewhere in the CNSWJO region by negotiation

Working from home arrangements can be negotiated for a portion of the week

A probationary period of 3 months applies.
