EARLY CHILDHOOD TEACHER
North East Community Children’s Centre, Hillcrest, South Australia
Part-time fixed-term contract until 19th December 2025 (4 days per week) with a possibility of permanency, immediate start.
$36.74 - $50.83 per hour (depending on experience)
We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic individual to fill a position as an Early Childhood Teacher.
Are you an energetic educator looking to be a part of a long term supportive team and to work with children 0-5 years of age? Are you passionate about meeting the needs of individuals and groups of children, and supporting their learning in accordance with the Early Years Learning Framework?
Our not for profit long day care centre supports children 6 weeks to 5 years and has up to 74 children a day. We have been operating for over 35 years and have a great reputation within the community. Our committed team of educators collaborate to support best practice and work effectively with children and families.

You will be responsible for:
Contributing to the delivery of high-quality, varied educational play based programs for groups and individual children including supporting your co teacher with Universal Access. (Kindy in long day care)
Supporting children’s social, emotional, physical, and educational needs within the group and as individuals
To be successful you will have:
Experience in a Child Care setting is an advantage
Current First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis Training Certificate
Child protection training
Australian Citizenship or a working employment Visa
Have 2 professional referees available upon request
Demonstrated understanding of the National Quality Standards (NQS) & Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of early childhood learning and development
Demonstrated ability to work within a collaborative team environment to ensure high-quality service
Excellent communication skills
Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
