The Opportunity
A Local Council in Central West Queensland is seeking an experienced Director Corporate and Financial Services to join their executive leadership team.
This key role reports to the CEO and is responsible for leading core corporate functions including finance, ICT, regional operations, compliance, procurement, and customer service. You'll provide high-level strategy, governance, and performance oversight across multiple locations while building strong internal teams and enhancing services delivered to the community.

About You
We are seeking a visionary and values-driven executive leader with:
* A Master of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent
* CPA or similar professional finance qualification (desirable)
* Extensive experience in financial and corporate services leadership
* Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive organisational performance
* Strong strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, and governance skills
* A collaborative leadership style and a passion for continuous improvement
* Current Queensland C-Class Driver Licence

Key responsibilities include:
* Leading Council's financial planning, budget management, audit and reporting functions
* Overseeing information technology, procurement, regional operations and facilities management
* Driving continuous improvement, risk management and compliance across all corporate services
* Leading internal culture through inclusive leadership and team development
* Supporting the CEO and Council with sound advice and evidence-based decision-making
