ABOUT THE ORGANISATION

Mane Consulting is representing an NSW government organisation in their search for a Network Specialist to join their growing team in Sydney. The organisation overseas a complex and highly secure technical network which supports local and national government projects & services. This is an initial 3-month contract opportunity, the company operate a hybrid working policy with 50% of your time spent working remotely.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Network Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting the organisation's IT network infrastructure whilst collaborating with a talented team of engineers and networking professionals. As a Network Specialist, you will support the ongoing performance of the network with a particular focus on cybersecurity vulnerabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the instillation, maintenance and monitoring of the organisation's IT network infrastructure
• Respond to a high volume of individual tickets relating to internal networking issues and queries
• Ensure the ongoing security and monitoring of the network infrastructure
• Adhere to government and organisational requirements relating to project delivery and documentation

ABOUT YOU

The be successful in the Network Specialist role you should have:

• 3+ years of full-time experience in a Network Specialist / Engineer or Level 2 Technical Support capacity
• Strong knowledge of large-scale local and cloud-hosted network infrastructures
• Strong knowledge of LANs, WANs, SD-WANs and various networking protocols
• Experience in responding to a high volume of internal tickets and incidents
• An in-depth understanding of network and cybersecurity principles
• CCNA or CCNP related qualifications are advantageous
