The Role:

This 36-month fulltime traineeship will give you the opportunity to get your hands dirty and work outdoors. You will develop skills and knowledge in a variety of areas with hands-on experience, and paid study towards achieving a nationally recognised Certificate III in Arboriculture.

Duties Include:

• Trim and chip/mulch trees
• Tree removal
• Pest and weed control
• Undertake appropriate climbing techniques
• Use relevant machinery including chainsaws and woodchippers

About You:

• Enjoy working in the outdoors and working with garden tools
• Committed, reliable and hardworking
• Manage and prioritise time and tasks effectively
• Work effectively in a team with good communication skills
• Have a can-do attitude and display initiative
• Able to follow directions and work under limited supervision

Role Requirements:

• Current driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
• Physically fit and healthy due to undertaking manual labour work
• Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment assessment including a drug and alcohol test
• Previous experience in gardening or similar trades (advantageous)
