We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Nominated Supervisor to join our team at Alamanda Kindergarten. This is a full-time, off the floor role.

Alamanda Kindergarten is a modern, purpose built kindergarten located alongside Alamanda Collage in Point Cook. It is one of ECMS' largest sessional kindergartens that provides high quality and nurturing learning experiences to over 200 children per week. Our team of nearly 20 educators partner with families to develop play-based learning experiences that build on child capability and interest.

This is a dynamic leadership opportunity where you will inspire and drive the educational program and practices through mentoring and providing professional development to Educators. Leading a team educators, you will be responsible for creating a workplace with high standards that supports the operations of staff and compliance and supports the education of children.

About you

  • You're reflective, curious and a purpose-led leader, with a deep commitment to making a difference within your service and community
  • You're open to learning and understanding the unique needs of every child and educator
  • You're a critical thinker and collaborative team member
  • You have a drive to grow and improve continually
  • You value kindness and respect. You're able to maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • You hold a Bachelor in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent), VIT number and first aid certificate
  • You have an exceptional knowledge of the child safe standards and current frameworks

  • You'll create a safe and supportive environment where children can learn and grow
  • Be a pedagogical leader who can help strengthen a solid philosophy around the ECMS and the Alamanda community values and beliefs
  • Build strong collaborative relationships with parents, families, Educators and the local community to provide an inclusive and enriching play-based learning program for children
  • You'll actively participate in a culture of reflection and continuous improvement. Lead and support a team of educators by providing coaching and value-driven behaviour
  • Contribute to a child safe environment ensuring standards are met on a daily basic
