Keylaw is an established and well-known law firm practicing exclusively in helping people move home, with 9 locations throughout Queensland and the Northern Territory. We are dedicated to delivering the highest quality legal services to our clients and are seeking an experienced property lawyer to join our Darwin office.

The Role:

We seek an experienced Property Lawyer with 1-2 years post-admission experience (PAE) to join our growing team. In this role, you will be able to work on a range of property transactions and advise on more complex conveyancing matters. Your expertise and passion for property law will play a pivotal role in helping our clients navigate complex property issues.

A competent understanding of the conveyancing process is beneficial but not mandatory. Comprehensive onsite training will be provided to ensure you acquire the necessary knowledge and familiarity with conveyancing if you do not already possess it.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct legal research and provide sound advice on complex property matters;

Draft and review property-related contracts and agreements;

Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to ensure excellent client service;

Stay up-to-date with changes in property laws and regulations; and

Maintain and expand relationships with real estate agents, brokers, and other key referral partners.

Requirements:

A current Northern Territory practicing certificate or the ability to obtain one;

1-2 years of post-admission experience (PAE) in property law;

Knowledge of property law principles and REINT contracts;

Excellent research and drafting skills;

Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently;

Strong interpersonal and communication skills;

Ability to work independently and as part of a team; and

Commitment to maintaining the highest ethical and professional standards.
