About the role
The Coordinator Governance is a new role at the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder. This vacancy presents an existing opportunity for someone with governance, paralegal or senior administration management experience who is looking for a challenging new job, exposure to a dynamic workplace and career development.
You will work with the Executive Manager Governance and Risk Services to oversee the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder's governance. compliance and integrity operations including supervision of governance staff, oversight of administration of Council meetings, supporting with local government elections and post-election inductions, oversight of compliance management systems, policy development and research. You will develop and implement an internal governance and integrity staff induction and training program, document control system and implement the City's Integrity Framework.
We are seeking someone who is organised, efficient, able to manage their own workload, support others including those for whom the role has supervisory responsibility, take initiative and be an energetic member of our close-knit team in the Office of the CEO. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate their excellent written work and communication skills and ability to prioritise and multi-task in a high volume and deadline-driven environment while delivering work on time, to a high standard and with attention to detail. You will be able to think critically, problem solve and write high quality policies and reports. Local government experience will be highly regarded but is not required.
