About the Roles
We are seeking competent and enthusiastic candidates for the below FIFO positions at an open-cut, strip-mining operation at Groote Eylandt, NT.
Standby Rescuer
Casual / contract / project work
7:7 roster, 12.5hr shifts (subject to change based on operational requirements)
Qualifications & Experience - as a minimum you must currently hold the following Nationally Accredited Qualifications (or their equivalent):
HLTSS00068 Occupational First Aid Skill Set
PUAEME008 Provide pain management
PUAFIR207 Operate breathing apparatus open circuit
PUASAR025 Undertake confined space rescue
Australian Drug and Alcohol Testing Certificate
Medical Emergency Services Officer (MESO)
Casual ad-hoc ongoing
7:7 roster, 12.5hr shifts (subject to change based on operational requirements)
Qualifications & Experience - as a minimum you must currently hold the following Nationally Accredited Qualifications (or their equivalent):
Certificate IV in Health Care (or above)
Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response and Rescue or Certificate III in Public Safety
PUAFIR207 Operate Breathing apparatus open circuit
PUASAR025 Undertake confined space rescue
Australian Drug and Alcohol testing certificate
Minimum of 2+ years as a Firefighter/Paramedic or mining ESO in a similar capacity.
Skills & Experience
Emergency Response Expertise - experience in emergency services, incident response, and fire prevention.
Medical & First Aid Knowledge - ability to deliver emergency first aid, maintain first aid kits, AEDs, and conduct health assessments.
Strong Communication & Leadership - confident in delivering briefings, coordinating emergencies, and working with teams.
Organisational & Audit Skills - capable of conducting site audits, maintaining emergency equipment, and ensuring compliance.
Resilience Under Pressure - ability to operate effectively in high-risk, time-critical situations.
