Landscape Gardener or Apprentice – Full-Time Role (Beaconsfield Upper Based)

At Luke Gardner Horticulture (LG Horticulture), we maintain high-quality gardens across Victoria’s South East, delivering reliable, detailed garden care for residential and commercial clients.

We are currently seeking a full-time landscape gardener or apprentice to join our growing team. Whether you're experienced and ready to hit the ground running, or just starting out with a genuine interest in garden maintenance, we’re looking for someone dependable, hardworking, and physically fit.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

You will be expected to carry out a wide range of garden maintenance tasks, including:

Mowing lawns using push and ride-on mowers

Whipper snipping and blowing down hard surfaces

General tidy-ups and maintenance of garden presentation

Hand weeding and weed spraying

Hedge trimming and pruning

Preparing and planting garden beds

Spreading mulch and other landscape materials

You’ll be working outdoors in all seasons, often at a fast pace, and expected to complete tasks to a high standard with minimal supervision (after training, if required).

Strong work ethic and a willingness to do physically demanding work

Punctual and reliable, with good time management

Able to follow instructions and work efficiently as part of a team

Takes pride in maintaining neat, tidy gardens

Comfortable working in all weather conditions

🎓 Experience & Requirements

For experienced applicants:

3+ years in landscape or garden maintenance preferred

Proficient in operating garden machinery and power tools

Manual driver’s licence and ability to tow a trailer (essential)

For less experienced applicants/apprentices:

A genuine interest in gardening and outdoor work

Some practical experience (at home or on job sites) preferred

Willing to listen, learn, and show initiative

Manual licence or working towards it
